Not two-ply, not three. Two and a half. Shinto took traditional three-ply Japanese gauze and swapped the middle layer for a half-weight weave. The result is a towel that’s light in the hand and still holds its own at the sink. The weave is a little irregular and the dye varies a little, so the charcoal has depth up close, like weathered wood. It’s big enough to dry a stack of plates, wrap a loaf or cover a bowl of rising dough, and it dries fast between uses. Hang it on the Leo rack, fold it under the butter pot, and the Cookhouse is set. Found on Guest Ranch. Made by Shinto in Japan. Materials: 100% cotton gauzeSize: 22.8" x 19.6"Care: Machine wash cold. No bleach. Hang dry. Gauze softens with every wash
